[edit] What is the Purpose of the Wiki?

MechaSource Wiki was created to supply a database for users of MechaSource as well as people interested in the MechaSource community. It's mainly used for documentation purposes.

Check out the Editing MechaSource article for tips on making your articles look better. Also go check out the MechaSource Wiki Rules/Guidelines for the general guidelines and rules of etiquette to follow when editing articles and creating new ones.

[edit] What Kind of Game Genres Can be Made?

MechaSource provides unlimited abilities to make anything you desire. Not only that, but it will provide you with some templates to help you get to know the process!

Yes, MechaSource is provided as freeware to anyone. However, developers of games chose independantly whenever or not they will charge for their games.

[edit] Will there be updates after the initial release?

Obviously. MechaSource updates itself constantly with new features and bug fixes, but not only MechaSource, but the games made in it has the ability to be updated if the author makes any changes in their games.

[edit] Is it possible to allow players to create skins for your game?

Yes. All you have to do is load the skin files that the user has dropped into your games folder. You could even load it from a game subfolder.

[edit] How difficult would it be to render fake 3d landscape and layers?

Kinda hard, and not very efficient. Remember that this is a 2d enviroment, and though it is possible, I doubt the outcome would be for beginners. Then again, it is possible with math.
